The GiiNii 8-inch All in One True Video digital picture frame is the latest frame from one of the more popular digital picture frame makers. It offers up 800 x 600 screen resolution, 128MB of internal memory, a 6-in-1 memory card reader, including support for Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, SD, MMC, and xD Picture Card, a mini USB 2.0 port as well as a standard USB port, all wrapped in a real wood frame with real glass protecting the LCD. In short, it is a very high quality digital picture frame. The digital picture frame market has grown in the past several years and the GiiNii 8-inch All in One True Video digital picture reflects that growth. Gone are the clunky user interfaces and controls of picture frames past. The GiiNii frame features a simple to use interface that you can control either with buttons on the back of the frame, or via the included remote control.

GiiNii 8-inch All in One True Video Digital Picture Frame

Yiou can control the GiiNii 8-inch All in One True Video Digital Picture Frame using the scroll wheel located at the back of the frame, or with the included remote control
You navigate the frame via several icons at the bottom of the LCD via the included remote control or using the scroll wheel and two buttons located on the back of the display. These include Date and Time which enables you to change the skins on date and time window; Digital Scrapbook, which enables you to select various scrapbook themes to view your images with, including Travel, Fun in the Sun, Our Adventures, Santa’s Wish, and Timeless. You can also visit GiiNii.com to download more scrapbook themes. You can also organize your images in categories. These include Family, Friends, Vacation, and Uncategorized. The Picture frame icon is where you access your images via the built in USB port, memory card reader, or internal memory. The Movie clapboard/CD icon is called the Media Center. This is where you access your MPEG-4, AVCHD, and other non HD video file types for playback, as well as your music. The toolbox icon is how you tweak the frame, including the date and time, brightness, cropping, language, firmware upgrade, product info, and the reset button.
GiiNii makes the digital picture frame super easy to use with a slick interface that is easy to navigate. It is the perfect medium to display your digital images and video. The 800 x 600 resolution is ample to display most digital images captured in the last several years, but viewing of images with less resolution is awful, not because of the picture frame, but because of the limited information captured from the older digital cameras. I uploaded about 50 photographs captured in 2001 using a 2.1 megapixel digital camera and each one is pixelated and useless to view. The cool thing about the GiiNii 8-inch All in One True Video digital picture frame is it looks as good as it works. The real wood is a departure from the vast sea of plastic based frames on the market. The speakers are super tinny and not very good, but that is to be expected given that audio is not really the focus of the picture frame. Pricing is around $89 to $109.
