OWI (Booth #2971) will showcase an Energy Star compliant Audio amplifier, a 4 channel audio mixer, a Low Voltage Surface Mount Self-Amplified Speaker System, and an infrared wireless microphone system at InfoCOMM 2011.
The company’s AMP-1SGRN “Green” amplified speaker amplifier with priority audio override is Energy Star compliant, works on a maximum 25-watts power, and goes into sleep mode every 15 minutes with minimal use, and features a line out to support a hard of hearing feed, to support people with hearing issues. According to the company, the device is 10 times more efficient than old style amps, operates with 87 percent efficiency, eliminating the need for an additional heat sink. It features an emergency paging feature via priority override that causes to the device to suspend normal and secondary audio inputs when priority audio is required, required in some states to handle emergencies such as natural disasters and lockdowns.

OWI’s Media Control MC4 is a Mic/Line 4-channel audio mixer that features a 4×4″ footprint and is wall mountable. It enables you to control volume and audio mixing for a variety of devices, including a projector, laptop, MP3 player, and two microphones. It can do a 4-channel audio mix with a “hard of hearing” separate output, according to the company, and also features a priority message input that can’t be disabled with the front panel slider controls. It also supports Line or Mic level inputs on two channels, with balanced inputs and outputs.
The company will also showcase a Surface Mount Self-Amplified AMPLV602-2 Low Voltage Speaker System, a 26-watt self amplified speaker system that can be mounted on walls or ceilings as well as outdoor areas such as garages, enclosed sunrooms and other non traditional areas that require speaker systems. The unit is priced at $199 and features a 6.5” woofer, .79” tweeter, and a matching passive 4-ohm speaker that outputs 26watts of sound.
On the wireless front, OWI will showcase a two frequency wireless pendant microphone that is designed to work with the CRS-101 Infrared Wireless Microphone System. The microphone features a breakaway lanyard as well as the capability to switch to 2.06 MHz or 2.56 MHz frequencies directly from the pendant. The system is priced starting at less than $1000.
